Compare the Gym Addition and Art Addition for your triangle ladder. Decide based on your child's play style, available space, and budget.
Quick answer
Choose the Gym Addition if your child loves climbing, hanging, and building upper-body strength. Choose the Art Addition if your child prefers drawing, reading, and imaginative play at a dedicated station.
Why the choice matters more than you think
Your triangle ladder is already a favorite climbing spot. Adding the right accessory can turn it into a dedicated zone for either physical development or creative exploration. The two add-ons serve very different purposes, so the best choice depends on what your child needs most right now.
Both accessories are priced the same, so cost won't help you decide. Instead, think about how your child already plays. If they are always hanging from the bars at the playground, the Gym Addition will extend that energy at home. If they love drawing and crafting, the Art Addition gives them a personal space to create.
Space and setup considerations
Both add-ons attach directly to your existing triangle ladder, so they don't take up extra floor space. However, the Gym Addition adds a horizontal bar at the top, which means your child will need clearance above the ladder for pull-ups and hangs. The Art Addition adds a tabletop and easel at a comfortable working height, so it needs clear space in front of the ladder for a chair or kneeling.
Think about where your ladder lives. If it's in a corner or under a low ceiling, the Art Addition might be more practical. If it's in an open playroom with high ceilings, the Gym Addition can be used safely.
Trade-offs to consider before you buy
- Physical activity vs. quiet play: The Gym Addition encourages active, gross-motor play. The Art Addition supports fine-motor skills and focused, seated activities. Choose based on which type of play your child needs more of.
- Ceiling height and clearance: The Gym Addition's horizontal bar requires overhead clearance for safe hangs and pull-ups. The Art Addition needs floor space in front of the ladder for a chair or kneeling. Measure your space before deciding. Measure ceiling height and floor space before purchasing.
- Long-term value: Both accessories are priced at $44.16, but their value depends on how often your child uses them. Observe your child's current play habits—if they already love climbing, the Gym Addition will get more use; if they love art, the Art Addition will. Consider which activity your child engages with daily.
